VECTOR CORROSION SERVICES
Vector Corrosion Services' (VCS) engineers have significant experience in corrosion of embedded metals in concrete and masonry, service life estimation, and corrosion mitigation techniques. VCS technicians and engineers undergo industry safety training and hold various NACE Certifications, including the highest level available in the field of cathodic protection: Cathodic Protection Specialist (CP4).
Matthew A. Miltenberger, PE
Matt has over 30 years of experience as a professional engineer and is a certified NACE Cathodic Protection Specialist (CP4). He has gained specific expertise related to corrosion of reinforcing steel, cathodic protection design, concrete condition assessments, repair and restoration, concrete durability and modeling, materials engineering and construction troubleshooting. Matt has a M.S. in Civil Engineering (Structures) and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, and a B.A. in Business Administration (Construction Management) from the University of Miami.
Brian Pailes, PE, Ph.D.
Brian is a professional engineer and certified NACE Cathodic Protection Specialist (CP4). Brian has extensive experience in the field of nondestructive evaluation (NDE), material testing, structural evaluation and corrosion assessment of reinforced concrete structures. He earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. Brian has also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Geophysics.
Shayan Yazdani, E.I.T
Shayan is an Engineering in Training who has obtained his B.S. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structures from the University of South Florida (USF) and is currently enrolled at USF to obtain his M.S. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Materials Engineering & Science. Shayan has a vast experience in data interpretation and analysis of corroding reinforced concrete structures and is in charge of integrating VCS’s StructureView© into a variety of monitoring projects. Shayan also has experience with techniques of repair and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures, materials engineering, structural life prediction analysis and forensic engineering.
Natallia Shanahan, Ph.D.
Natallia is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where she earned her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in materials, as well as an M.S. and B.S. in Civil Engineering. She has extensive experience in the assessment of concrete structures including the use of nondestructive techniques such as ground penetrating radar and impact echo. In addition, Natallia is an expert in concrete materials, durability and service life modeling.
Amanda’s primary focus is supporting the technical staff and assuring that VCS clients receive superior customer service. Amanda has completed a wide range of leadership and personal development courses including Dale Carnegie and Myers Briggs and received an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration in May of 2017.
